Swampy442
Question, just had me emanage ultimate fitted and mapped at Thor. They elected not to use the greddy map sensor and wired the stock one instead. Can I plug the greddy sensor into the emanage and it'll recognise it and start to use it or is it more complicated than that? Cheers
Andy-No-Knee
You will have to go into the software and 'tick a box' too that it will read it as a pressure reading as it could be a wide band input cable (they use the same plug and socket on the emanage). dini_the_owl
thats very true, just connect the wires to the emanage and vacum pipe into the sensor.
Wez
Surely the fuel and ignition table breakpoints are currently setup as per the stock sensor, if you install and calibrate the new sensor both tables will need updating, ie a remap. If you install and dont calibrate the voltage vs value references will be wrong. I have never used the EMU software but thats how most ECUs work. Tricky-Ricky
Yes you would need to go into the software and select front panel in the set up menu an tick whatever option port you have plugged the sensor into, as for the maps, it very much depends on what scale the are currently set to as to whether they would need to be rescaled or re mapped, as you are limited to: Throttle position. Airflow pressure. Greddy pressure sensor voltage. Relative pressure (PSI) Absolute pressure (PSI) The std pressure sensor is always connected anyway, as per std wiring, but you can choose to scale the maps by any of the above, i use absolute pressure, but this still reads the Greddy sensor as its selected as the primary sensor in the set up. Swampy442
Cheers for the replies. Does the GReddy sensor have a higher resolution i.e. more sensitive than the stock one? Is it worth puting on? Ive got a wideband kit coming so might see if I can get that and the 3 bar fitted at the same time.
Tricky-Ricky
Not more sensitive than std, but will read higher than the the 1.1bar limit of the std one.
Alex
The GReddy has a wider resolution but is not more sensitive. If your engine is working fine without it there is ZERO point in changing. If however you are looking to go above 1.2bar and have a re-map done then yes by all means fit it for that.
