I think memory can be trained to improve a bit like muscles. I dont know what excercises you could use to improve it though. My spelling got a lot worse since I started texted and stopped writing essays for school etc. Stuff on your mind is bound to influence the way you think. I hear certain foods aid memory, but i dont know which. Certain herbs and supplements too. It's good your taking excercise.. that shows your trying to improve / maintain your health levels.. so well done.

colsoop
I thought i would bump this thread. I have lots of time on my hands and have been reading a few books > NLP another fascinating area if you can give it a fair go. brain training etc. I picked up derren browns book recently (tricks of the mind, an enjoyable and entertaining read so far) and have been using some of the techniques he recommends, to improve my memory and i have to say what a difference it has made ! I can memorize a string of 20 random words in 2 minutes (im still learning ) and then recite them in order at will. Before this i would probably remember 2 or 3 words and thats it. colsoop
I bet you're a hit at parties! Any practical applications for a talent like that? you have to have friends to go to parties Yes there are practical applications you can use the techniques to learn dates for exams or bullet points for speeches, as long as you can create a visual picture of what you are trying to remember then the technique can certainly help. I am a mere novice and have only just started but i can see the potential if practiced. The NLP side of things is another area and again with practive i can see it make a difference to ones outlook and views on life

We have three types of memory- short, medium and long term. Your pi stuff is in long term storage.
