spiderpigcity
what manifold is that in the pic mate can you use silicone coolant hoses or is braided steel better?
gledo1970
braided will be better with goodridge fitting as there is alot of heat around the turbo, but there is always the cost side of things to think about as for silicone pipe it will be ok but will need something to protect it from the heat
spiderpigcity
i have taken some shots of my progress so far. i am just working out what size hoses etc , i will be needing for the oil and water cooling. also i have labelled the photos as there are some connections that i am not sure about. any help would be good. thanks
spiderpigcity
what do i do with number 1 on the rocker cover? is it to be blanked off or does it need one of those mini air filter?
spiderpigcity
on the turbo pictures , what are all the nipples with hoses on for ? 1,2,3,4?
gledo1970
as for the nipples on the turbo, one goes to the wastegate and one other can be used to go to the boost control. as for the rest im unsure, my gt35 has a set screw on the out side edge which i think is used when being built, as for the rocker breather then there are mixed feelings, some fit a little k & n filter some run to a catch tank and others run back to the induction pipe that connects to the turbo intake and air filter. I'd do as much research as poss, use the search button on here as there are some good write ups on fitting singles and also mkiv.com the oil supply from the bock has a 10mm 1.25mm pitch tread if that helps

No 3 is the cam breather so should be connected to the intake after the filter but before the compressor (or via catch can if you have one) Third pic you are correct Forth pic: 1 and 2 are a boost pressure supply, only one of these is needed (to the boost controller In or Out port, I forget). 3 is not needed but could be an intake temp sensor if its on the compressor. 4 You're correct

spiderpigcity
First pic you are correct homer, where do you get the sleeving from that slide over the cables in the engine bay to stop them melting. can you get bigger sizes to go over 19mm coolant hoses aswell?
