DannoSupra
Nope - if it's just turning over, bumping, even tho u can't, wont get it going Might be flooded
Blackie
I have heard (Possibly not true) That if you can get an auto to 30 mph you can bump it

dannysupratt
I dont know if its the same with an auto, But what i do when that happens is put the car in gear and get a mate to rock the car forward and backward while you sit in it and turn the key. Its always worked for me but as i said not sure about autos. good luck

supra steveo
has anyone got a picture of where the starter on an NA is ?
Dave
sounds like your starter is dirty or the contacts have worn .its only held in by two bolts and the lead on the front .the starter is on the right hand side of the engine down by the front of the gear box.if you could get it on a ramp it would be easier to remove and replace the contacts.sent you a how to sheet one for sale http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=140274 refurb kit http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=139206&highlight=starter+refurb

Dave
to jump it you need a good set of leads not those thin ones from halfords . charge it overnite and if it starts in morn job done if not you know its your starter
supra steveo
ive took the battery out and topped up a 3 of the 6 cells with cooled water thats been boiled and set it off to charge, the good news is that it is chargeing, ive had batteries before so bad that it wouldnt even charge, i will give it an hour or 2 to charge the try and get it back in the car to get home, then take it back out and charge it again and see how it is in the morning . i can see me having to get a new battery on pay day, who makes good batteries these days ?
