Supradoopa
Superb , can't wait to see a full race without adverts ruining it.

Ian R
Horaay No adverts. Lets face it the race itself is directed by F1 productions so all BBC can do is mess up commentry.
colsoop
Agreed, I'd be lost without the weekly "Lewis walks on water" reports they put together for us to fill the 8 hour slot before that pesky race gets in the way The lewis fan club was a bit ott. However their features on slip streaming, aero dynamincs, tyres etc were a good way of building up to the race i thought.
Gazboy
WTF? How is this a good thing? Some serious rose tinted specs are being worn around here. Murray made more cockups in five minutes than Allen makes in a season, he was woeful on the RoC programme. The BBC hasn't got a "whatever it takes" budget of ITV, for a lot of the races Walker (and Brundle & Hunt too when they were in the commentary team) weren't even at the track but in Wood Lane watching a live feed. Rob
I hope it's not Claire Balding! She seems to present every BBC sports event. They could bring across everyone except the Cock, especially Goodman. I enjoy her soft round breasts and large hips. I bet she's a great lazy afternoon shag, no kinky stuff required although she could keep her jangly arm hoops on. Oh and the racing would be good with no adverts. hiten55
to be honest i quite liked the itv coverage pre and post race. some useful insights too. but could have done without the ad breaks i must admit.

juanchan
It'll be good to lose the adverts from the middle of the race - I mean, if they tried interrupting any other sporting event for adverts they'd be lynched! How about an ad break in the middle of each half of a footie game?! Some of the features they've got on ITV are pretty good though and provide a reasonable insight into things you wouldn't otherwise see/know about. Hope the beeb provide something similar. It'd be nice to see Brundle and Blundell continuing with it. It's been mentioned that James Allen doesn't make that many c*ck-ups. My question is, so what? He annoys the cr*p out of me!! He interrupts Brundle frequently and I do recall Brundle having to say "James, that's not Webber, it's Coulthard" etc a lot over the last few seasons.. I'm sure Brundle used to say more a couple of seasons ago too, but now he seems to only add his insight when Allen seems stumped on what to say about what's just happened. Couple of guys at work are hoping they bring back "The Chain" for the credits too

juanchan
The Times newspaper claims that Richard Hammond is in pole position to take over from Steve Rider. That would be alright with me Just so long as it doesn't turn into Top Gear-esque show. There's a time and a place for the Braniac stuff he's done
RiceRocket
How about getting in Damon Hill? I thought he was good when brought in, just needs to cut out saying "Err" a lot.
Branners
anything but that c**k James Allen. We need to start a petition with the BBC to make sure they dont bring him over. Just listening to silence (and the sound of the engines) is better than his innane drivel. JB

Ewen
I've just read that Aunty Beeb bid £50 million more than ITV to ensure none of the competition got it...except that no one else was bidding. Or did I read that wrong ?
Bobbeh
... and for the love of god please leave Brundle in the pits with the ITV bunch, walking around aimlessly with his mic.

colsoop
I was reading an article in the paper this morning and apparently Bernie pulled the plug on ITV as they were umming and aaahring about the F1 and the champions league + their money problems. It also mentioned "key itv f1 personnel contracted to ITV till 2010" I assume that is Brundle, Blundell etc. For it to work (commentary wise) you need a natural talker who isn't boring and also a knowledgeable former driver to give the insight and experience.
