Mitsubishi GTO TT - One of the best MK1's around

A bit of a strange place to list a GTO I know as they generally aren't received very well here! but I need to shift my brothers car for him as it's just sitting on our driveway not doing anything.

It has been an ongoing project for him for many years but unfortunately he has lost interest and due to other commitments has decided to sell up.

A huge amount of money has been spent making this one of the best GTO's around, the car is mechanically new with many parts being replaced; either OEM or aftermarket uprated parts (see huge spec below!).

Roughly 71,500 on the clock which is a mixture of Miles and Kilometers. 60,000 is in Kilometers and the rest in Miles, so the total mileage is 48,782. However, most parts that have been changed only have 500 - 1000 miles on them!

Please contact me with any questions you may have, although I may have to refer them to my brother if I can't help.

The spec is as follows:

1991 Mitsubishi GTO in Electric Blue

- 5-Speed Transmission

- 6 cyl 3.0 L Turbo Engine

- Twin Turbo

- Twin Intercooler

- Drivers Air Bag

- Digital Climate Control

- Front & Rear Limited Slip Differential

- ABS, Remote Central Locking

- Electrically Adjustable Drivers Seat

- Power Steering

- Electric Windows

- 6 Speaker Stereo

- Full Time AWD

- Same Phase 4 Wheel Steering (AWS)

Work Undertaken (that he can remember, may be more than this):

- New Mitsubishi shortblock engine

- Heads fully rebuilt

- Gearbox rebuilt

- New TEC 15G turbos ( capable of approx 25psi )

- NGK Iridium spark Plugs (plus set 1 range colder for when boost increased)

- Custom white reverse indiglo dials can change from blue to green

- ECU Capacitors uprated by the ECU doctor.

- Bozz Speed Front bumper

- MK 3 rear light panel

- Custom downpipe and decat, only requires basic emissions testing because of year - which it easily passed

- TEIN type FLEX suspension (adjusts for ride height and stiffness)

- 3G 20 groove front discs

- EBC redstuff front pads

- EBC blackstuff rear pads

- 3SX fully adjustable rear control arms

- Alpine CD Player, Pioneer TSG1709 front speakers, Pioneer 6x9 rear speakers (can't remember specific model)

- BLITZ Supersound dump valve

- Unknown origin aftermarket exhaust

- TOAD Ai606 Thatcham CAT1 alarm/Immobiliser with light mounted into a-pillar

- MOT until end of August 2008 - it's only done 100 miles since the last one!!

- Tax expired

- New uprated Battery

- Just finishing run in period for engine

Work left to do :

- The bodywork is generally very good for the age of the car, however the front bumper has picked up some scrapes and light damage, not too severe it can be repaired.

- Drivers sun visor missing 'Vanity unit', Originally the Greddy display screen was mounted here, but I decided it was too difficult to see when driving, leaving a hole where the mirror and lights used to go. You should be able to get replace this unit without having to get another sun visor at little expense.

- E-Manage is running a basic map for low boost (6.5 psi), it is slightly rich and will need retuning by a SPECIALIST or SOMEONE KNOWLEDGEABLE (don't get an idiot to do this or it will cost you the engine)

A simply awesome car that just needs mapping to get the most out of it. Please note, the car runs perfectly fine on the basic map and isn't causing any damage to it - it's not as fast as it could be though!

Part-Ex considered.

Strictly no canvassers or agencies.

£5800 £4500 £3500

I am a member of the gtouk and have owned my gto for 3 years now love it mine is also a mk1 and a big project. I can say there is alot of gto's for sale at mo club memebers ones too. You have done alot to it and the spec looks impressive but at 5800 i know it does not sound much but with the amout out there and some other high spec ones going cheaper on gtouk you might be a bit hard pushed at that price to sell it am sorry. the gto's have flooded the market this year with fuel pices etc.

have to say thought look very nice.

Cheers for the comments guys, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I haven't looked on gtouk myself, but I know that this car is nearly mechanically new and probably better than the majority hence the higher price.

We obviously want to get as much as we can for it as over 20 grand has been put into it. I know you don't get it all back when modifying/uprating cars but it'd be nice to see it go above the 4 grand mark that many dogs are selling for on Pistonheads.

well looking and fully reading your spec above you have done all the nessary things to make that engine last another 70 -80 thousand miles before some things need replacing you have changed virtually everything. Is nice to see a well looked after example and I wish you all the luck on selling it pal
