michael
Do you reckon this will be up to the job of keeping a Supra battery alive when stood for a while? http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=47902&doy=18m3 Would window tints render it useless? Al Massey
18m3[/url] Would window tints render it useless? not really coz it uses any ambient light, not sure if it would work on the supra batt any good tho
jamesmark
John (Sarahs dad) and Johns dad uses them and they love em as they suffered from fat batteries a lot due to non useage. Never got a straight answer though for when it is cloudy! All I know is since buying them they have never had an issue.

DamanC
Let me know what you think. Out of interest, how long can you leave yours sitting before you notice its low?
lui
I'm definitely getting one where I slip my slip & out of action for 8 weeks run down my yellow top optima dead & killed as I forgot to disconnect it just brought new one for £175.00 not going to let that happen again hopefully one of these should look after the new one by keeping it topped up while not in use
michael
Let me know what you think. Out of interest, how long can you leave yours sitting before you notice its low? About 4 weeks from fully charged to struggling to start / flat - I hardly ever get it out for a decent run these days though so hopefully one of these will keep things nicely topped up. ivan
I'm not sure if you've read the FAQ or not Michael, but I spotted this bit: "Q) Is it normal for this item to put out 22v as mine does? My battery is 50amp do i need a regulator? Regards Dan - Dan Downey A) Yes it is normal but a 4.8w panel will not charge a 50amp battery you will need a 60 AMP solar panel."
