hoff
Depends. If it gets the SVA done its a bit. If not you can simply buy a 110mph dial of ebay for about £10. Or you can get a speedo converter for about £90 and a delimiter for similar. Plenty of info on here on this, just have a search:)
RobD
cant i fit the dials out of a uk tt into an import they got to 180mph dont they?!
hoff
Probably, not 100% sure though. But imports are limited to 112mph and you would still need a speedo converter so it goes up in mph not kph. If you got that then the existing dial will read in mph ie, 100kph will actually be 100mph.

georigg
Rob, Leave the speedo as is, get a good quality converter for the speedo(ie NOT an Ebay cheapo) and fit............see the tech info page for a description but follow the instructions of however's you buy........I bought from NCS. This will leave you with a 180MPH speedo dial. Changing the speedo dial from a UK car will be expensive! The speedo is driven by a sensor in the gearbox and the speedo converters(ensure you buy the ones that fit behind the speedo, not the Ebay cheapo's that fit at the gearbox), which output a voltage signal that varys as speed......voltage increases with speed, and the head responds to the signal. This will also change the mileometer to reading in miles but you will need to have the circuit card for the mileometer changed to show "miles" from "KM" Hope this helps. jacko
I have a 320kph TRD speedo dial? I thought imports only had 180kph speedos?
SteveR
I have a 320kph TRD speedo dial? I thought imports only had 180kph speedos? Sounds like it's been converted (and probably delimited?) and simply fitted with kph dials. Same difference as 180mph.
