tooquicktostop
I am toying with the idea of fitting a big block or a 5.7 litre crate engine to the Camaro as the 5 litre is strangled by the American smog laws and extracting power will be expensive, I have read either engine will drop straight in to the Gen3 Camaro, can anyone confirm this and perhaps recommend a garage for the work These guys perhaps?? http://www.britishamericanengines.co.uk/
Muffleman
Dont know mate, but I was taken for a drive today in a Cobra replica that Austec fitted out with a small block chevy stroked to 7.2, large edelbrock intakes etc etc. Holy crap I fell in love 4-1 side exhausts made such a horny sound, and the spits\bangs etc Just awesome

garethr
Aren't big blocks enormously big (), heavy, and expensive compared to the small block? If you do change the the engine, I'd have thought that a more powerful SBC would be the best bet, since they've been more or less the same since 1955.
