juanchan
I was 24 and only paying under 800 fully comp! Try elephant.co.uk I paid more than that for a years insurance on a UK when I was 23. Elephant give good quotes but I've heard many cries of "god help you if you ever need to claim".

AgtX80
theres not much point in comparing insurance costs, everyone has a different location, mods, security, garage/street/off the road, no claims, points on their licence, social only, work & social, previous car experience... does the job you do affect it?. Mine is £720 with tesco. import tt auto. I found elephant to be REAL bad. Minimum was £1600 when i tried that.
bmx1lew
yeah your job effects it, my lady friend is a RMP and she seems to get good insurance also dropped mine, i've been told pub landlords and mechanics pay more insurance, dunno if its true but i would guess so, insurance will do any thing to knock up the price. keener
I tried a few and ended up with A-Plan. They have a specialist unit dealing with sporst and imported cars. £480 fully comp on a '97 TT import.
danhicks22
Bell have been lowest for me. I'm 23, 1 years ncb, 2 years driving experience. They're offering about £1250 fully comp for 12 months on standard 93 import TT with £600 excess. They also do a bonus accelerator 10 month scheme, which saves about a 6th of the price (obviously). Newer cars tend to be more and obviously mods increase it (mine will be about £1450 with bodykit, interior changes, non-standard wheels, exhaust changes and non-standard filters). Bell, Admiral and Elephant are all part of the Admiral group but I found Bell the cheapest for young drivers. A-plan and Adrian Flux wouldn't insure me as I'm under 25 with very little experience (especially with powerful cars) and Sky couldn't match Bell. As with you, all other companies (Endsleigh etc.) would either not quote or offered >£3k. My Supra is in Japan waiting to be shipped back for me in case you were wondering Should be here by mid-May. So i guess its down to you to get your own quotes because everyone seems to get different! Hope we helped anyway...
