hiya, housemates had a bit of a prang today - buckled the exhaust on a new style peugeot 206 1.1. she doesnt wanna go through insurance but Kwik Fit have quoted £400 for the full system. i know that peugeot are usually expensive, this sounds a bit high still though. anyone got any ideas? or better still, anyone got a peugeot 206 1.1 exhaust goin spare?

cheers

nah mate, she saw the pic you posted in the names and faces thread....she looked at the pic and said "he's well fit, that bloke in the middle there. :eyebrows: shame about the bloke standin in the right of the pic, he's got a face like a smacked arse!" :D

nah in all seriousness, she saw the pic BUT then she saw your avator and thought the monkey was better lookin and wasn't suprised you used that pic for your avator .......

back on topic, cheers for the links WSB2 and Paul, think there's a place round here that might be a bit cheaper than Kwik Fit ;) failin that, might as well just rob the system of any parked up pug 206 1.1...... :twak:

Another way to get one cheap is check Ebay for a new one for sale, get it then pay for it too be fitted, kwik fit sometimes fit for £10 in pocket. the other woman will never know.

If it`s anything like my Skoda then £400 is cheap for a full system. Recently my front pipe went. In the front pipe the Cat is incorporated. It can`t be unbolted, it is part of the pipe. No problem i thought. I went round all the exhaust places, German and Swedish, EuroCar Parts, etc and was told that because the car was relatively new that none of the after market manufacturers ( Bosal, etc ), weren`t producing them yet. Skoda OE only. Went to Skoda and asked for a price for the pipe and that i`d fit it myself and with the VAT it cam in at just under £400. That`s just the front section. I went home and chopped the exhaust off after the Cat, made a new piece and welded it on. Sorted. So if your system has a Cat that is part of the pipe then they may be quoting you for that as well?
