When you peal it off there is a plastic bit about the size of a credit card on the underside of the metallic tape.

Anyone know what these are and should I leave them there?

It's Eve...still logged on as kslb....doh.

Just looks like it might be taping holes?

No holes under the one on the air filter housing...didn't check the others as I wanted to find out what they were first.

Don't look important and they make the engine bay look untidy so I want to rip them off.

Had a thought....could they be some sort of heat shielding?

Obviously doesn't explain the one on the air filter housing but i've peeled that off and there is nothing underneath so I think it's days are numbered.....

Oh and please push the vacuum reference pipe further in onto the SSQV... it's bugging me  :D

EDIT: a little late :)

Bugging me as well now...cheers for that...from memory, it was really tight and wouldn't go on any further. Don't anyone be twisting this statement into something dirty!

The Tape is what we call 500MPH tape.. coz itll never come off.. we use it alot but i cant see why it would be used there.. Unless its got holes.. But as you say it hasnt so im stumped! lol

Must be different stuff as this pealed off easy and there were no holes or damage just sections of clear plastic stuck to the reverse of the tape...weird.
