AshBhp
IMO, if you have 6 speed- 1.8 bar boost 800bhp is achievable and dependant on what cams you use? Have you bought Jezz kit .
_Shane_
ya mate just have to get money sent to my account once they give the good owl approval and i can then pay jezz was going to go with 264 hks cams
AshBhp
Wez
Since its not a DBB it may be an idea to loose some top end by sticking with 264 cams, the 272s would help it breath more up top though.
STU_3LTR_TT
same turbo as mine 272 cams, jun 3.1 forged engine, head worked 930 hp 2.2 bar

Wez
same turbo as mine 272 cams, jun 3.1 forged engine, head worked 930 hp 2.2 bar Wow 930hp and 2.2bar, that must be on racing fuel. Have you got any Dyno plots, some more info on the car would be great like who mapped it and what ECU you are running etc.
Tones
i have seen them produce 600 to 740 on no more than 1.4 bar yeah u can take away a lot of that on 95 ron fuel that we have here, and on lower boost the car is pretty much wasted with that Turbo! a smaller turbo would be way better suited to our fuel and more importantly our roads Looks wrong to me to be honest, this u or him shane? Quote "Well the time has come and the decision has been made to send the supra for a full rebuild Strip her down and get some nice forged goodies into it Car is been built professionally and i have no doubt it will be a complete pig when its finished Few parts purchased so far are hks 264 cams in/ex hks cam pulleys hks timing belt Eagle rods with arp bolts Turbo kit as good as sold, been paid for during the week going for a hks T51 kai, full kit manifold, downpipe, mid pipe, ex wastegate, the works Turbo is good for 800bhp + Was going for a virtual works 80mm setup but main factor that put me off this was boost wouldnt hit in till 5000+ rpm but would hit hard but not practical Looking at 1200+ bhp with the VW turbo kit but suppose thats always a later option if i get bored of the T51 Ecu is going to be a full aem and gettin a guy flown in from the uk to install and map the ecu CP 87mm pistons with hks 2.0mm head gasket arp bolts, bearings etc etc valves springs and retainers the list goes on really but bit by bit is been knocked off the shopping list lol fuel kit then will be a titan motorsports setup 3 fuel pumps, custom hanger, 1600cc injectors titan fuel rail, fuel regulator, all braided lines etc Any feedback welcome"

_Shane_
thank for the comments and replys lads, good feedback there will be running an aem ecu along with that kit. cams question..... the builder is saying go with 264 deg etc and some people saying here get 272 ? which ones and why ? Also plan to run the car on 1.8bar maybe 2bar with fully built engine
uk-rich
the bigger the cams = more lag
tooquicktostop
I would not run 2 bar on 95 ron fuel to be honest, its just not worth the risk IMO, I almost brought that T51 from Jezz but went with a T67DBB in the end with 272 cams as I felt I would be loosing some of the streetability of the car on a non DBB T51, look forward to your build though keep us updated
Ryan.G
The difference between the T51 nonDBB and T51DBB is like night and Day. Soon i will add a link to a dyno plot application that is being finished as we speak but until then compare Ashbhp T51 plot to say a gt4088 or T67
Nic
The difference between the T51 nonDBB and T51DBB is like night and Day. Having seen comparitive dyno graphs it certainly looks like the DB makes a big difference to spool up time.
