JustGav
I cut the 4 wire inside the ECU and and join the 2 wire outside. When I conneded the 4 wire and still left the 2 wires joins it stated again. I need another ECU It may help a lot starting with a new ECU but another worry is what has been changed on the loom? Hopefully they have kept their hands off everything apart from the ECU. flyby
Have you got pics showing how the 4 wires inside the ECU are connected, have they broken any tracks on the main circuit board. It looks like they might be sending a modified voltage to the intake temp sensor input, by tricking the ECU you could cause it to run richer or leaner. I have looked if they broken any tracks on the main circuit board, but cant find any. When i start it it runs very rich lots of black smoke. Wez
I have looked if they broken any tracks on the main circuit board, but cant find any. When i start it it runs very rich lots of black smoke. This might be due to the way they have fiddled with the inlet temp signal. Have you put the car back to how it was, does it run ok like that? Gaz Walker
Hmmm, wonder if one of the envy boys would be willing to pop past and enquire how the modification works (if they are still trading?) Different Newcastle Gav, thats Under-Lyme, Staffordshire. Gaz.
