Homer
I'm trying to identify the correct routing for the main battery connectors. In the first pic below is it correct that the positive terminal wire should connect directly to the fuse box positive supply and also spliced to the starter motor? In the secon pic, is this the correct point to wire the negative battery terminal to the chassis and starter motor (or does it go to the engine itself?) Obviously I'm not going to reuse the wires in the pic!
molak
yea positive goes from battery to fuse box to starter and the negative goes from battery to body to engine block
Kev.O
There is a small positive cable which goes from the battery to the fusebox, and a large one that goes from the battery directly to the starting motor. The negative goes from the battery to the chassis of the car and straight on from there to the engine block. Would you like me to take a picture Homer as I have my battery disconnected at the moment? Homer
Thanks guys That would be really helpful if you take a couple of pics Kev, It's not the sort of thing people normally photograph so haven't tracked down any pictures so far
Kev.O
Here you go Homer: On this one you can see both positive cables going onto the battery clamp: This one shows the smaller cable going into the fusebox (the other copex going into the fusebox is my amp cable so ignore that). If you look at the bottom left of the picture you can see the negative bolted to the car bodywork: Here's another just showing things a little clearer: If you need anymore then let me know what you want to see and I'll take some for you
