The new batman was amazing so hopefully that will continue. I wasn't fussed with hellboy. As for CGI, its the way of the world. Its the only way to put the proper fantasy into reality. Interestingly there's a cameo from Tony Stark (Robert Downy Jr) too. AKA - Iron Man. Watchmen was written by the illustrious Alan Moore who is a legendary British talent far outstripping what the Americans were writing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watchmen He's written some of the most influential graphic novels in the business.
