Guest BHP-Show Posted March 14, 2008 Share Posted March 14, 2008 A NEW SHOW, A NEW VENUE Monday 5th May 2008 – Bank Holiday Monday Lydden Hill Race Circuit BHP Performance Show MAP What happens when the motorsport and modified industry collide at the same racing circuit in Kent for 1 day and 1 day only?? Well you could say that would result in phenomenal performance, stunning styling and adrenalin pumping live demo's.....but to put it simpler, why not put it into four words...... THE BHP PERFORMANCE SHOW. The BHP Performance Show is a 1 day action packed show that provides live demonstrations from various forms of motorsport including Rallycross Supercars, Drifting, Rage Buggies and much much more. We will also be celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Ford Escort with a specific dedicated area displaying the very best ranging from Mk1’s to Cosworths. But that’s not all, we will be providing you with the opportunity of Public Track Time! Push your car to the limit around the challenging 1 mile tarmac circuit. We will be running limited Track time on a first come first served basis so book up early to avoid disappointment! BHP will be held at Lydden Hill Race Circuit, which is a new venue to the car show industry so is sure to be one of the biggest, if not the best car show in the South, especially with the mixture of high performance motorsport, the very best from the top car clubs in the UK and big named traders. Some the clubs already involved are MLR, SIDC, Cupra R Owners club, Punto Owners, RS Owners etc etc, the list is growing everyday. Closing date is the 1st of april so dont delay.(possibly extended date so it gives clubs more time, will keep you posted) Entrance is £5 per car on stand (inc driver) £10 per passenger Track time; £15 per 15 min session with no limit to how many you do. (105db limit) There are also some prizes up for grabs: The BHP Perfromance show are proud to announce some of their prizes that will be won/awarded at the show. - Buckmore Park have donated a free day out for 3 people. - O'Donovan Rallying has kindly donated a free half hour helicopter ride - Rage Motorsport are supplying us with free passenger rides in their new twin seated Rage Buggy - Pat Doran, former British Rallycross champion, is providing us with a free passenger ride in his Ford RS200 Rallycross car that does 0-60 in 1.9 seconds! - James hudson, reigning British Drift Champion is kindly donating a free passenger ride in his Drift Spec R32 Skyline. - we also have loads of giveaways form our show sponsors!
