ivan
IF your car was registered before 1st March 2001. £101.75 for 6 months, £185 for a full year. (Last year rates were £99 and £180.) If it was registered after that date there's a SLIM chance it has been type approved in category M1 and registered on the basis of CO2 emissions, in which case it could well be as high as £220 and £400 like poor old SilverSupe is being conned for. http://www.dvla.gov.uk/media/pdf/forms/v149.pdf If you want to double-check your liability, use the "Vehicle Enquiry" button on the left and then input your car details on this site: http://www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/

ivan
CO2 Emissions 0g/Km Scott =opIt's good. What was the figure at the bottom? It means they haven't got a figure for your car and you should fall into the £185 bracket.

Excellent then. It was exactly the same as the one above. Scott =op

ivan
http://www.taxpayersalliance.com/whatsmycartax/ A bit misleading though. That page states we will be paying a flat £200 when in fact that doesn't kick in until TY 2009-10. Until then it's £185.

dr_blackman
Just checked mine on that dvla website.... £185 thank god for that! lol
Bryan_Jones
I checked mine on the dvla website and it says I have to pay £185 as they don't have my CO2 emissions, but it says on http://www.dvla.gov.uk/media/pdf/forms/v149.pdf that any cars regitered in the UK after the 23rd March 2006 that exceed 225g/km will pay £400. Now mine was imported in 2007. Does this mean the next time I have a MoT that they will record my emissions and charge me £400 for tax?
