jamesmark
Yes it does, iirc Branners done it on his single. Although it is not reccomended. Buy a Greddy FCD or a Thor unit if you can find one.
supraturbochris
what just as a precourtion? Mine is going into fuel cut now, which is winding me up. I need to sort it out fast

I need to sort it out fast If you are hitting fuel cut buy a FCD, do not do that mod in that link. Thor is the best one, then Greddy. Try and avoid HKS FCD's iirc they remove fuel cut totally which is not a good thing to do.
SimonB
DO NOT DO THIS on a Jspec, it's basically disconnecting the MAP sensor which is used for fueling. You will destroy your engine.
ADL Mark
Yup Simon is correct, US and UK spec only as they use a MAF for fuelling. Jap cars run a slightly different system and absolutely can't do this. You will kill your car!

Does the thor fcd have a setting on it so you can set it to lets say 1.2? or do you have to drive the car and change the settings every time you reach fuel cut? jamesmark
The Thor unit is always pre set to 1.25bar (unless owner has altered settings) The Greddy unit requires to be set but it is easy to do, just get the recommended settings of mkiv.com and you a volt meter, then try and hit fuel cut and if you do tweek it till fuel cut is gone. Again avoid the HKS one.
