Getrag
Had the car serviced today and asked him to check the exhaust diameter so I can get the right ring on it. I have a standard front pipe then an 80mm (3.15in) section then 90mm (3.5in) which widens slightly to the back box. Is this a good thing? He also said boost comes on violently with the 2nd turbo. So that could be the pipework, actuators played with or (imho) just bpu. Anyway, good day.
Bobbeh
Gets rid of the exhaust gases I guess
tDR
Yeah sounds like a decent system m8 - some say the best way is to have the exhaust getting gradually wider in diameter the further back it gets as the exhaust gases get cooler as they exit, making them denser and requiring more room to cause least restriction. Marc just isn't used to real performance cars m8 - too into his Skylines
tDR
BTW - hope he didn't change the plugs for some stock ones!
Getrag
Cool....he did say it even flared out toward the backbox...so that Jap engineer had his thinking cap on. I made sure he didnt change the plugs There was some big turbo R33 there. Gold paint, CF bonnet, screamer pipe, split rims, very nice looking.
