michael
http://www.liveforspeed.net Free demo (44Mb download) is a lot of fun in itself but for £12 you get the full game - really good physics and great online play in either version but more cars and tracks in the full one. Full car setup so you can really screw things up Works find on my antique P600 with 512mb and 64mb graphics (at low res with a few things turned off) and others are managing to play online with a 56k connection. You can setup your own races online - the MR2 lot have a regular night of it on a Wednesday, does anyone here fancy joining in or starting a seperate one up? Nearly..... The Hornet
My connection here at work is poor along with the PC - and I mean very poor. I will check it out when I get home, looks like fun though so should be up for it Michael
michael
Definately worth a play if you get chance, suprisingly good for a cheap download.

michael
I got the full version last night - I didn't get chance to give it a real test but some of the other cars are really quick, cracking turbo and dump valve noises too I just need a steering wheel and pedals now. Jake
Is this the one that's almost impossible to control with the keyboard? I don't like playing driving games with a joystick/whatever.

Trig
Im loving the demo. How do you pay for the full version?
michael
Im loving the demo. How do you pay for the full version? I did it via Paypal online - there is info on the main website - you set up an account on there, then purchase it and download the 75mb update, after installing this you click a few buttons and away it goes
michael
Is this the one that's almost impossible to control with the keyboard? I don't like playing driving games with a joystick/whatever. I've not tried keyboard control but it's possible to compete fairly well with the mouse, especially in the FWD cars that don't react as badly to the lack of accelerator and brake control. Analogue is definately the way forward but the demo is free so even if you have to play it with one of those head wands you still haven't lost anything. michael
Does anyone play this on-line then? Every Wednesday night at 8.30 - the IMOC club has a bit of a play, usually 5 > 10 people racing until 11 or later, I have to leave at 10 at the moment to watch Desperate Housewives Feel free to join in, PM me if you want the password and server name

At the moment i'm builing by points up as I only have the first two cars unlocked any cheats to get em all Easiest way is to race the computer on pro level - add 3 computer cars over 3+ laps and if you win it's 43 points. I believe you can screw up your own setup, add the computer cars which will then use your settings and then change back to a decent config to destroy them, not sure what order you need to do it in though. michael
S2 Demo was released last week - lots of updates over the earlier game inc. damage, tyre wear, fuel, better dynamics, better graphics and more.... Sadly my PC struggles with it but I'm years behind http://www.liveforspeed.net - free download.
