redtwinturbo
The flat roof is leaking now and water is coming into the kitchen. I can feel this being one of those days - MOT at 2pm as well
Charlotte
The wind kept me awake all night. Damn weather.
RedM
It was really sunny here in Leeds this morning. We had to close the blinds. It's grimmed up a bit now though. This bit of wind though. It's not like '87 is it?
Charlotte
This bit of wind though. It's not like '87 is it? It felt like it at 3am! And there was a big lump of something from the roof when I walked outside this morning and everything.

Charlotte
Women. Just kidding. Honestly, it was windy. I'm not sure it's in the same league but then I was only 7 when that happened.
keancy
I was rather surprised to find nothing had flown away, broken or smashed with all the banging I heard in the night. My daughters trampoline cover dislodged though and is holding on for dear life in two corners at the moment.
AndrewOW
This bit of wind though. It's not like '87 is it? Not yet I'm starting to not believe the hype, but it may change for the worse soon though.

Thorin
It's been sunny here this morning, raining a bit now though, but not windy. I was hoping for massive storms, but it's just a bit drizzly.
BEERSHZ
Been blowing mighty strong here in East Anglia,(lowestoft). 2 very big trees down at the bottom of garden fortunately no damage done, one down next door took the old phone lines with it, no electricty all morning, bit calmer now but supposed to get bad again later. Kranz
Been on a driving course all day. A few trees down & cars limping along with accident damage where they've come off the road Saw a quite new Astra scraping its way through some small village or other with the front bumper hanging off, both headlights mashed and the bonnet about a foot shorter! Had fun down the country lanes on the way to Ashford and back..... twas only a Mundano 1.8 with a slight misfire though
Fifty
Hey Richard A Its pretty windy right now in Cornwall but not enough to put you off some big waves at up to 10 feet ON BOTH COASTS (FUN TO WATCH). I drove down from Bodmin to Penzance today and it was OK both ways. Rain comes and goes but not too bad actually. Think its going to blow out over night. Have a good trip - rest of week looks a bit wet but there is a lot to do indoors down here - it was never going to be hot in March was it? SupraGirlie
Was pretty bad here, had a powercut because of the storm earlier and only just got it back on thank god!
ivan
Portland was closed off and Sandbanks is now in Branksome Park. And I now live on an island called Upper Parkstone.
RICHARDA
why not just send the person a pm? This post is equivilant of walking into a hall full of people and shouting to your friend at the top of your voice if its raining... Well done, nothing like stating the obvious. RICHARDA
Apart from the amusing thread title I don't think there's anything here that couldn't have been put in a PM. The point, which I clearly should have made much clearer was of a topical nature, although directed at Rich because he is from a part of the country that was supposed to bear the brunt of the storm and an area I was due to visit. Having said this I did see a wheelie bin that had been blown over.
