Sugested Tyres Please...

Hello all,

After having my soop for about a two months now, I need to start thinking about tyres and what sizes/make to get so I can order them..

At the moment the sizes are as follows:

Front - 245/35/18

Rear - 275/40/18

Uff, whats the make? umm :conf:

Usally with all my others cars, MR2 etc I would always swear by Bridgestones, but if anyone has any better sugestions please let me know..

Also, is this the best tyre sizes/combo for my vechicle??

Best bet is to do a search on this, as it has been discussed many a time, with lots of people having different opinions on different tyres. Do a search and make your own conclusions, it all comes down to budget and grip. Tyres can run to a lot of cash for these cars, so always consider tyre life aswell.

P.S. Racelogic Traction Control has allowed me to kep my current tyres for nearly a year, and they have loads of tread left, my original tyres without RLTC lasted 7 months and they where then bald.

Hi not to put you off but I went through six sets of rear Bridgestones & three sets of fronts in a year. They kept blistering on the back I had the car checked over by Toyota who gave it a clean bill of health.

That's not to say that because of my suspension and other mods and may be the way I drive it did not have an affect on them but they were only lasting 1000miles. I was not doing burn outs or wheel spins just driving quick. I have now changed to Dunlop's which are not only cheaper to buy but are lasting 4000 miles or more a set with only a little less grip. I'm sure other people will disagree but that is what I found hope this helps.
