RedM
I'm suffering with yet another heavy cold and, this morning, sneezed and felt a something like a pop at the bottom of my ribs. It doesn't hurt to breathe but it does ache dully. Am I likely to have cracked a rib or will it just be a pulled muscle or the similar? Kranz
Yes you can. I did it coughing my guts up when I had pneumonia. More likely to have pulled/torn a muscle though.

Masenko
Probably just some muscle damage, I know the feeling! If it were a cracked rib I think it would be much more than just a dull ache...rest easy!
marcAB10
I cracked a rib coughing last year and it hurt like hell everytime I breathed for about 3 weeks, so I'd say its probably a muscle or something. Hope you get better soon tho colds suck

Red, im sorry to freak you,but keep an eye on the area, as well as possibly a cracked rib,it could also be either (honestly) An internal Hernia or possibly a burst blood vessel,. keep an eye on the area mate .
