rob wild
A little tale of my Soop adventures over the last week. Ok as some of you may know i recently had this done: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=137007&highlight=michel So basically the car was done bar having some new decent tyres and a new exhaust as both Ryan and Michel were concerned with Tyres and EGT's so took the decision not to push the car and do any damage but wait until i had got a new exhaust and tyres before increasing the boost. Anyway last Saturday i had got the tyres on but needed the exhaust fitting. So Michel organized his engineered (Ian) to fit it. So i had a brilliant drive over some excellent Yorkshire roads upto Michels workshop. Got their nice and early i.e. before 9.00 and Ian was already their waiting for me. Unfortunately the exhaust didn't fit and i though game over there's no way he could sort that But Ian just said err no problem i'll get that sorted and basically rebuilt the exhaust chopping, introducing new bends and tig wielding it so it fit my car perfectly! This guy is a genius with a wielding torch! So Me and Michel have a interesting drive over to Motorscope with me following to meet Ryan for a mapping session. Unfortunately the box started giving problems not relating to the tune or installation. So straight away Michel organized Ian to go back to the workshop at 6.00 o'clock at night so he could check my car out. Also Jay is there at this time and very kindly offers to take me back to Michels place with me following just in case (thanks again matey ) So anyway long story short Michel and Ian were both concerned about me driving home by now its 7:30 at night am I thinking if i dont get home tonight im going to be in sooooo much trouble with the wife especially if i have to ring her up and ask her to drive the 140 miles up here to pick me up So Michel just hands over the keys to his brand new Civic and says you'd better get yourself home mate and i'll sort your car out asap! So as promised Michel gets the car sorted and today drives a good hour and half to meet me on the A59 so i don't have to drive all the way to NE again and ow boy has he sorted the car! It drive better than stock its so smooth and on boost it really is fast now I mean really really fast i've never been in anything that pulls like it Its like having a new car its that different. Ryan and Michel have done such a good job of mapping it! The car felt so good driving home today. Seriously I cant recommend Michel enough his customer service and attitude is second to non! and he puts so much effort into making sure that every car is right before it goes out and if you do have a problem like mine did (which was not his fault) he'll step up to the mark and get it sorted which is rare thing these days! He even bough my lunch today thanks again All in all a 10 out of 10 from me Thanks again guys!

michel lane
Thanks for your kind words Rob , unfortnuately the BL box had been on the car for approx 5 weeks , I purchased it in july and received it in august last year, kept it for stock . I bought it from MVP. The box broke unfortunately, front seals / bearing were damanged and the pump failed. I contacted MVP regarding warranty but was imformed from boostlogic that there is NO WARRANTY on any BL box's !!!!... to my horror i was not amused after spending nearly £2000 to get the box over hear. Dusty has been in contact with Boostlogic and has done his best to try and get the matter resolved, they offered to repair the box at cost , providing i pay for the shipping and parts ... well that was not an option as this was going to cost nearly $1000 just for the shipping and would take several weeks before we got the box back. I have 3 of these boxes, which i had bought for myself and clients . I had to use the other new box that was assigned for my aristo for Rob's car, to get it turned around quickly. Well i sent the box to a transmission company and they analysed the problem . The cost for repair was £975. So i decided to get it repaired, you have to look at the positive picture, this way they can tell me what is in the box and what items are uprated. I have asked the transmission company to replicate the box with some spare units that i have. Iam going to use the replicated unit and run it on my aristo @ 550hp,the parts they informed me were off the self items with a few jiggery pokery in the box. So to recap , Rob has a new BL box installed which cost me nearly £2000 and i have to pay £975 to repair the other box. I will not be buying anymore of these box's from Boostlogic , what if the box failed when someone else had supplied it ??... i know it is law to provide a warranty on items bought in the uk but it seems not in the US. Dusty has been very helpful explaining to me my situation and the cost issues, if i was in the US i would have sent it back , but the cost would have been the same to get it repaired in the UK. Please remember this , MVP has offered to get it shipped back to Boostlogic and boostlogic have offered to repair it at a reduced rate, i have declined this offer. Dusty has kept me informed of the progress and has given me different options to resolve this matter, i have choosen to do it my way as it will take less time for the client "Rob" . I will still purchase items from MVP and there customer service has always been excellent, but no more built autobox's. Ryan has done an excellent job on mapping the car , Please remember you cannot map a car fully with cold starts, round town drivability abd autotransmission changes within 1 day !!! on the auto boxes that we have done it has taked many hours of fine tuning on the road for the gearchanges especially on auto's with different turbo's on them . Iam glad you are happy Rob....
Sharpie
Looking forward to seeing a ML built box's for sale soon
tDR
Nightmare on the box! Did it make lots of dodgy winding up type noises and start missing 2nd gear? I broke one as well (BL) a while back - wasn't impressed. I think I'm gonna have that one rebuilt and sell it on, should be able to make my money back on the rebuild cost?!? At the time the failure was blamed on me shifting manually from time to time. I took that with a pinch of salt. Top service as always michel - good work! Cheers, Brian. tDR
Just remembered michel - did you swap out the hi stall TC for a new one? I think it was CW that posted they are easily contaminated because they share the same fluid supply as the box - if you don't it can lead to damage to the replacement box?? Guest Geneb
I love the dark grey supra with the veilside skirts that mix of kits looks just right but the light silver one on the right is god damn feckin ugly as my ex wife.
