rsmithinfo
Hi Guys, Currently own a Ford Cougar V6 as my everyday car. I'd like to get a project going and think a Supra would be cool. Would like to get a cheap TT Supra and do it up really really nice ready for when the Cougar dies. What would people advise? I have downloaded the guides and will look through later. Any help greatly appreciated.
marbleapple
Think you might need to define a 'cheap' TT Supra. The cost a fortune petrol wise to run and are not cheap to fix.
Mariusz
You can pick up a nice n/a at a decent price to start you off. All clean good engine... Then turbo it lol
rsmithinfo
Cheap - meant cheap to start with, i.e. discounted because it needs a bit of work etc, as I am planning to do it up that's OK. I realise they aren't cheap to run though.
Homer
Hi and welcome Before we all start 2nd guessing your intentions, can you give an approximate budget you have in mind for the initial purchase price? Auto or manual?
rsmithinfo
I was thinking a manual as I prefer them but am open to suggestion. Initial budget was thinking around £5k heance a longer term project to make it an awesome supra but doesn't have to be perfect to start with just a good base... stevie_b
£5k for a TT *might* be within reach, but it would probably need some TLC on it.

rsmithinfo
Would a TT Aerotop be pushing it too far?
dwayne
aerotop doesn't come in manual mate and yes it probably is pushing it too far
rsmithinfo
What are people's opinions on Auto vs Manual - I've always driven manual feels more like driving the car properly or is that stupid? Any thoughts?
