Gerry
Jamie (G-nemie) has his forum name as a spare number plate for shows etc and Mike Wards user name is his number plate: M5W TT. It is a good idea. I still have my neck thingy from JAE last year. People can always use those again. Neck thingies are a good idea - if you like spending the day staring at blokes bellies, only to find that it's flicked round the wrong way ! I'm going to order one with "GATSO" on, and in small at the bottom, "Gerry - mkivsupra.net" If there are others interested I'll have a ring around and see if I can find the cheapest (and a supplied that can supply lower case letters as well). Just a thought...
IDO
If it helps.. I am going to get my .net name sewn on to one of my club tops.. (anyone who goes to the SEM or knows me, give me a shout about getting theirs done if they want!)

marbleapple
http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=71945&stc=1&d=1204722700 I just tried that with Marbleapple but sadly it only fits 'marbleapp' which isn't what I want. I also though tht the whole point of your membership card was that it should be displayed in your window at shows.

AndrewOW
I'm a total geek, as I have both my name and this fine club's website address at the bottom of my numberplates (in tiny type) already. EDIT: Like this example, but the font is a sans face, not Times.
DodgyRog
Something I have already got as Im a lorry driver, so I have the obligatory name plate in the windscreen;) I also had it put along the bottom of my new plate when I had my new front end put on, not sure if it was such a good idea because if I get pulled over by the fuzz and have DodgyRog on the bottom of my number plate, its not going to be a good start to the conversation:D :DIt's a good idea thou, Pimp My Plate did my plate and the quality was not great, but had some done by http://www.showplate.com and they were perfect........ snake
why not get a badge and stick your name on it, that way you dont have to stand next to your car all day . When they see your badge on your coat they will know who you are.

vvteye
Great idea but doesn't help with the pronunciation. Most people call me 'vvti' but its pronounced 'vvt Ayyyyeeee' as would have been said by Ali G if he met me at a Supra meet
mr lover
We could all change our usernames to match our numberplates to save money. Done it http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/2994/loverzs8.jpg
Pete
pete had his name on the back of his shirt at TF bbq Funny thing is people still say "What's your name?" and I say "Pete" and they reply "No, I mean your name on the forum".

Pot
My 'generic e-mail provider' account's my old numberplate, which I bought to fit my forum name (then made the e-mail account ), which is also my nickname - I don't have it anymore, but I'm looking for another one, my Mum doesn't want me to buy D13 POT (Die Pot), although I thought it'd be a chuckle

DaveSupTT
As someone who occasionally strays onto this forum (OK - about once an hour during the day) I know a lot of members names, some of them very well. One frustration I have is that when I go to a meet (ie Surrey Meet, last week) I don't have chance to talk to everyone, or meet members that I know well on here, but have never met in person. Just a thought... If we all invested in a spare front number plate with our forum name on, once parked up we could pop it on (or in the windscreen) and at least others would know who's car is who's, and in turn, could possibly say hello to the driver ! This way if I see a car with MAWBY on for instance, I could keep an eye out for the owner if I wanted to have a natter. It would also help identify cars that I'd seen on here that I had a special interest in ie, big single, new seats, fancy dials etc. As I think it's a good idea, I'm going to get a GATSO plate and wear it at the next meet in the hope it will catch on. Whatcha think.... G Great idea! Was thinking this myself at the weekend Gerry - a very good idea IMO. Might also be an idea to get your real name at the bottom of the plate where the name of the garage/plate manufacturer usually goes. That's mainly for people like myself, given the reaction I usually get when I tell people my username on here! good idea!
Gerry
Maybe repeating myself here, been a long morning (already). Will get some styles & prices for front only plates in two sizes (UK & Import smaller). Will have large forum name, smaller real name, logo etc. ********* Can't do this until next week, but will get onto it on Monday though).************* Happy if people just want to stick to name badges / paper info in the car etc, but still think it's a good idea. Cheers G

Whatcha think.... G Half the fun is not knowing who is who. If I want to meet more people, I just go around talking to random people and ask if they are off this forum. Can always PM them before the meet if you were desperate to meet them and get a number reg/ mobile.
