r888 and other tyres

a qoute from c.w Best are Michelin Pilot Sport Cups, then the Pirelli P-Zero Corsa, and a distant third the R888 from Toyo, which are really too soft and have appalling wet weather grip, not that any of them have GOOD wet weather grip :D

Michelin Pilot SPORT PS2 255/40 ZR17 94Y with rim protection ridge, RRBL

 

Also im on stock 17" im running 235/40 by 255/40 R17 all round at the moment, is this the correct stock widths? im sure somewhere ive read that i want 235/45 on the front.

front should be a 45 profile

If you want wet grip you don't want any of the track day specials, they all have too big a tread block, too hard a compound, and not enough sipes for wet road usage. OK for driving carefully to a circuit and hoping it's not persisting down when you get there, but hopeless in standing water on the M1.

would there be any you would recomend at the mo at bpu manual
