SUPRA FLY
Need views from the technical Gurus amongst us Just noticed over the last week my hand break light comes on when I break (foot break) hard Any ideas??
Nic
The most common cause for this is low brake fluid, make sure it is completely full.
SUPRA FLY
Cheers mate.....will check that
mawby
If it is low then it could be an indication that the pads are low. Worth checking before you fill it up only to have it overflowing when you put new pads in.
Duffers
Mine has also started displaying the triangle of death along with the handbrake light when I brake quite hard. It then clears when I accelerate a little. I'll check my levels later on and see what the score is. Do you get the triangle of death too Supra Fly? Or just the handbrake light? Let me know what you found too Supra Fly! Lets hope we can sort it ! Paul
mawby
The triangle comes on with all other warning lights, so you will always get the triangle and the hand brake light on together.

Scarface GTti
I was going to post this up today as i too have this problem. But my fluids are fine, so i`m guessing that there is a switch on the handbrake? that can be adjusted. Only problem is it isn`t obvious in the near dark how to get the panel off from around the handbrake?
SimonB
I'd check your brake fluid level again - even when it's just about at max you seem to get this as the fluid sloshes around and triggers the warning. I should top it right up anyway.

TRD3000GT
Def low brake fluid. Just get a small top up! ;-) Cant beleive u did not ask me . I feel offended
SUPRA FLY
Checked my brake fluid last night and it is quite low....closer to the min marker than the max marker so that appears to be the problem. I didn't have time to check the brake pads as well but will do soon.
