Help Importing

Twin Turbo 95

Recommended Posts

I made plans to import a Mk 5 twin turbo supra to South Africa but i have a small problem. A lot of the imported cars here get crushed... And i mean A LOT. on avg of 20 cars that get imported here 13 are crushed. Do you guys know of any way that i can miss this hole proses or to minimize the chance of my Supra getting crushed...

Any advised will be much appreciated!

There are a couple of guys here that spent a long time in SA. Justgav and GrahamC sprint to mind. I would give them a shout and see if they can help.

TBH, I would have thought that a car import company in SA would have been a better source of information.

Why are most imported cars getting crushed? Jealous SA car manufacturers...?

thy are just f&(^kedup! when it comes to cars SA just suckes! in durban the had a thing called operation drag racer. the smallest mod would have gotten you a ticket. rims of 17" and more would get you a ticket. this place really sucks when it comes to cars im im a petrol head speed junkie mix. i may not know everything about motors but im trying my best to learn as much as i can...

about the import company... thats gonna cost a lot of money... im buying the car for R110 000 including shipping costs.:eyebrows:

Just replied via PM, saying I've not got any experience importing cars INTO SA as the only time I've done was shipping the car back to the UK when I moved over.

Probably best bet is to contact an importer in SA and see what is required.
