Yeah its real, Miniguns are on a lot of vehicles etc, with monsterous ones on the A-10 Warthog and on naval craft - used to shoot missiles and planes out of the sky.

Kind of glorifies a big gun designed to kill people! Not sure I'd like to be on the receiving end of that :(

 

I remember watching night vision footage of a helicopter gunship picking off Iraqies in the desert one by one, very sickening......

The scariest thing about that video is that the tracers you see are loaded 1 in every 18 rounds.

 

Yeah, you can see some bits where they shoot up the car, with about 10 or so visible rounds, and theres hundres of bits flying off read with heat after they hit the target. Its insane :)

unfortunately only the yanks convert their hercs into these gunships. We do have them on our RAF chinooks though...
