SupraGirlie
I really like this MR2, and just wondered what people think it is likely to go for? Will it be that much slower than a Supra TT? Will I notice a huge difference from the N/A I currently drive? I know nothing about them really, does this look like a good example as I really fancy it http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/rev6-turbo-Toyota-MR2-low-mileage_W0QQitemZ230225936789QQihZ013QQcategoryZ18290QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
miko_supra
i think in terms of 0-60 the mr2 T and supra TT are the same

keron
i think in terms of 0-60 the mr2 T and supra TT are the same yeh the mr2 turbos are very quick and feel a lot faster due to being lower to the floor and the weight difference. good fun cars and it looks like a decent example. depends on the price really.... SupraGirlie
looks a bit chav tastic, but if thats what you like Fair enough, I have always liked white mr2 T-bars. I am not keen on the rear lights, the rest looks ok though.

Faster than my N/A anyway! I have driven a TT BPU supra which I loved but I guess it won't be anywhere near that quick!
SMiFFAD
the rev 6 rear lights are quite possibly the most chav car accessory avaiable to buy today... IMHO. Mr2's are nice little cars, i had one, they will try and kill you as soon as you let your guard down, no back seats, bottom ends may as well be made of glass. End of the day it depends what you want from a car though, we all like different things. T-bar roof is fun, same as the aero top basically! SupraGirlie
yeah well like I said I am not keen on the rear lights at all and the wheels could do with an update, I will have to take one for a test drive. Seems to have pretty low milage compared to all the others I have looked at.

marcAB10
I think it looks like a good 'un, but totally agree about the rear lights supragirlie you would have to rip those off asap.
Scott
The MR2 will have the TT Sup up until around 80, in fact if that MR2 has a true 300bhp it might even see a stock TT off until silly speeds. They are very very fast and underestimated cars. True 300bhp will see low 13's and a sub 5 sec 60 with the right driver, without even trying particularly hard. As for the lights, you can easily sell those on ebay and get a set of Rev3 lights. Very nice car, i would estimate not much more over the starting price though. They are selling for silly money now, same as sup's. I'd hazard a guess around 4.5-5K if there is a lot of interest. Scott =op

johnny g
I know mate - but I just dont have the time. My V6 Turbo (3.4ltr and GT4094R) is taking all of resources up at the moment - it's the only one of this type to have been pushed this far. Aiming for approx 750bhp from it - in an MR2

johnny g
I had 322bhp in my old Rev 3 Turbo and I saw a 12.7s 1/4 mile. 0-60 was 5.22 with a full tank, a passenger, two overnight bags and a passenger. Awesome quick - I love them.

I went and viewed this car for one of the previous owners, absolutely stunning example at the time but it's suffered from a few bad mods in the meantime The chap who bought it when I looked at it for him is a long term enthusiast with Rogue Motorsport connections, I suspect it won't have wanted for anything during his ownership anyway, he tends to pamper his cars a lot. I dont know much about the chap who is selling it now but it looks pretty much the same as it was when Rowland sold it. It's a quick car. Edit: A few older shots of it here - http://bookatrack.com/-pP?6341 - older skirts on there though.

I tend to stay out of the main MR2 circles now, except for when the need arises I'll be getting it all set up and dyno'd nicely before it's released into the public domain

I know of the car too and if it needed anything it got the best. They're not the standard Rev 6 rear lights, Rowland had the lenses changed. Look better than the LED rings. Mariusz
much slower than a tt yes but very nippy and fun to drive, well it was fun till i blew it up:innocent: The rev 6 mr2 turbo is not much slower.. stock 0-60 is practically identical. I have both an mr2 turbo and a supra.. . the boost on the ebay mr2 is set to 1bar or 14.5 psi and can safely be raised higher on rev3 + tubbys. This slightly modded mr2 will be quicker than a stock tt supra.
Scott
As above, Gaz, have you ever been up against an MR2 turbo in a stock TT? We all know that yours is highly modded, but BHP for BHP an MR2 will be a good bit quicker than a TT up till unsafe speeds (for the MR2). I have both cars too, well.. the wife drives the MR2 now, and off the line the MR2 would eat my Sup alive. As i said in my post, its not until around 80 that the sup really comes into its own and would fly past MY MR2. Mine has around 260-280 (not been dyno'd). Check out the 1/4 mile board on IMOC Scott =op
