lust2luv
..with regards to the FT-HS concept: http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/28/toyota-hints-ft-hs-concept-could-inspire-next-supra/ Okay, it's only Toyota Australia, but I believe it's a first. SMiFFAD
I do hope the do some work on the styling before they make it, it wont win any beauty awards! Front looks like a stretched celica, the rest looks like different bits were designed by different people who have never met/spoken.

Gazboy
It looks brilliant. Perhaps Toyota have realsied they have been caught napping in a big way with the GTR giving anything Stuttgart can throw at it a complete and utter pasting. Nic
The LF-A should be the next Supra as it is a GT. The FT-HS is too small to be the next Supra IMO, looks more like the size of a Celica.
Gazboy
Similar performance of the Carrera coupes, the RS would easily pull away from a TT but the 993TT makes a Supra look stupid.
Chris Wilson
To get around people ruining their products with banal and tasteless body kits Toyota announce a ready done model.

The LF-A is also much better looking, and more of an evolution of the MKIV shape than that FT-HS. The FT-HS look's like a bath with wheel's stuck on from the front IMO. SteveR
plenty room for brake upgrades AIUI it's supposed to have regenerative braking (in this case, braking power charges capacitors, which then return power to drive the wheels once you're exiting the bend you just braked for), so if that works as intended, I dont suppose it needs huge disks. I don't understand why this would mean it doesn't need large discs? Surely the larger surface area the better braking performance, regardless of whether the energy generated from braking is stored or lost... Because the brake disc isn't 'collecting' the engery; I'm not a technical expert but I'd imagine some electromagnetic inductance device will be in operation, removing some of the need for moving mechanical parts (big brakes). AgtX80
Would this compete against the GT-R? thats a very tough challenge. V8 5.0 450bhp non turbo, also a V6 350bhp version, i heard the leccy engine gives a 100bhp boost? Does 30mpg i read too. Anyone heard the rumour about a new RX-7? colsoop
Coming out after the Gt is a good move. the benchmark has been set and they know what they need to do. Its much easier to follow than lead Toyota did a similar move against the 300zx.
AgtX80
I did hear that the lexus did beat the GT-Rs time round the nurburgring. GTR is going worldwide this time, wonder if the lexus & supra will be japan only?

Ian R
They actually had a coming together on the ring the GTR had an off after being pushed by the L-FA. The L-FA will be faster and better than the GTR but I'm guessing around a £40 K price difference

Thats the way forward for Toyota and the next supra IMO:)
AgtX80
GTR is looking like being 70k in the UK. Its about time lexus had a car like that, sounds like its pretty much the premium version of the new supra then.
