when i was reading the the part "BCC wire clarification and notes" under: http://www.mkiv.com/main/index.html

it says that only one wire is needed to be cut in the wiring loom. but when u read on and move to the next page: http://www.mkiv.com/main/index.html

it tells u to splice 3 different wires.

i m a little confused so pl help. if any of you ll have a detailed picture of the installation it will help

Adi,

Those links you posted don't go to the right pages. You mean this page http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/bcc/bcc_install/bcc_intro.htm, right?

On that page it says :

The TPS to ECU wire is Black with two Yellow stripes located on the larger ecu harness. This wire is cut; the resulting cut end that goes to the TPS connects to the BCC White input wire. The other cut end that goes to the ECU connects to the BCC Green output wire. Most people have cut the Blk/Ylw wire near the ECU; note that alternatively the same wire can be found inside the wiring loom along the top/back of the engine bay. This "away from ECU" access option is detailed in Part IV below.

The BCC's Red wire may be connected to Any ignition/switched 12V source. Therefore, it is not necessary to cut an ECU wire for this as described in the "BCC Install" article, although you may choose to. Other options include access at the unused seat-heater fuse slot in the top row of the fusebox near driver's left foot.

The BCC's black wire is connected to Any quality ground. Again, it is not necessary to cut an ECU wire to simply ground the BCC. Other options include crimping to a ring connector, secured firmly under a chassis bolt cleaned of paint or debris.

So, that's just one cut. Join each end of the cut wire to the correct wire on the BCC and then connect the Red and Black wires from the BCC to a live and an earth respectively.

OK?

Hey mate,

I am thinking of buy one as well.

But I am confused as it says on the mkiv.com that I have to buy the one for MR2, which will fit the MKIV supra. But http://www.takakaira.co.jp has one for MR2 and one for MKIV. So can you tell me which one is the correct one for a MKIV supra?

Adi, I fitted the Greddy BCC myself using the instructions from MKIV.com.

When you splice a wire, you just remove the plastic sheath without cutting the wire inside and join the appropriate wire to it. However, only one wire actually needs to be cut right through.

I'm not trying to teach you suck eggs here, hope this makes things a bit clearer.

Are the instruction at top of this page for installing the Greddy bcc to a J-spec? Also is it alright to install in conjunction with the Greddy speed cut? All I have is the little box and 4 wire sticking out, nothing else.. what should I use to hook wires up to ecu wires? I installed the Greddy

speed cut myself so I'm confident about it. Just making sure.
