I've had my iPhone for a while now and I love it. I've been through loads of phones, N95, Communicators, and the like and to be honest none of them came close. The iPhone is sorely missing 3G but other than that it's superb and many times more functional than any of my old phones were. Some of the apps you can get for it (once unlocked) are great too..

Fool on you for buying an iPhone! Overpriced pieces of carp :D.

Have a look at the HTC offerings... I was dead set on an iphone, but once I saw the issues with it.

HTC have issues too, see http://www.htcclassaction.org/ :(. Put me off a Touch Cruise as I'd want the ability to watch video on it.

I've been looking for a smartphone for a while now, Asus P750 looks to be the closest device to what I want - Glofiish phones look to be quite good but at a price .

My bro in law had a loan of an iphone a while ago, he gave it back early lol. He now has an N95.

I had the N95 for over a year and it never put a foot wrong. All the apps on it worked great and once the GPS was configured it worked a treat. The wife now has that as i moved onto the N95-2 (Black 8GB Version).

For once in the history of phones the developers have actually listened to the consumers. Just about every bug i could think of on the N95 has been sorted. The only thing missing is the camera lens cover, can't understand why they have removed that.

N95 is still the best rated phone on the market. N95-2 is just an upgraded version.

N95 is far too delicate, has poor battery life, doesn't support the business applications properly and has a poor keypad like the E65.

Battery life has been sorted on the new one, no idea what you mean by delicate.. mine has been bounced off the ground numerous times. I find the keypad to be excellent and the new one is even better. Business applications? Is that not more PDA territory?

Delicate as in drop it and it wounds easily. The keys are an odd shape, and the whole keypad is located within an irritating recess. More importantly the keys don't travel enough, just like on the E65.

Re: PDA territory, well.. yeah. They call it a "mobile computing device", so I'd expect to be able to do those business things.

it does do them, just not as well as a pda, its a phone lol.

As i said, i've dropped my old one loads and its not been any worse off apart from the usual battle scars.

I think the odd shaped keys make it easy to type on, you should see my wife with my old one! I just guess its different strokes for different folks but as far as phones go i stand by most mobile reviews, its regarded as best in class and i think it is. If i wanted a phone for business use, even though capable, the n95 isn't ideal and i would buy a pda.

It's definitely different strokes for different folks, but I think you are missing the point of what a "Smartphone" is. A smartphone is a PDA/phone hybrid (IMO) ;)
