AndrewOW
We had it in Wakefield. Then I went back to bed. Which is now in the lounge Nope, the earth didn't move for me, and I was quite sober too. Bit of a normal night all round really
_Lynz_
Slept through the whole thing, probably for the best as I'd watched most haunted last night and would probably of been ringing round for a priest at 1 in the morning.

Rob
Just after it happened, I was straight into a chatroom and getting "eyewitness reports" from "correspondants" across the UK. That really impressed me, how the internet can be so much better than the TV news. Teh Internets FTW.
jonahjones26
OK, I have been drinking, but my whole house wobbled for about 10 seconds. I think we just had an earth tremor. Did anyone else feel it? yep! in leamington, thought it was the dodgy radiator pipes again!
steb9780
It's a sobering thought just how many people on here thought it may be the alcohol, is *anyone* totally sober in the UK? I must have drunk to much then, I slept right through. Woke upto a load of texts asking if I felt the earthquake last night. A handful of Japanese beers followed by a bottle of wine. Although the tiredness of a 13 hour shift probably didn't help.

I felt nothing and feel all left out... but then I wasn't drinking
cheekymonkey
I felt it - it woke me up, in Swindon. None of my friends felt it though! Thought the cat had got into my room and was shaking the bed around
ivan
Didn't feel or hear a thing down here on the South Coast - but apparently there are people who say they did.

Now, I know I know I was one who recently decried the claim and blame society on here, but, a question for the "experts". Let's talk COMPO My mother's commode has spilt, my G&T is on the floor, and the house is, well, knackered, can I buy that 2003 F1 car and support package now? cheekymonkey
How big is your cat???? As the vet tactfully puts it, he's "a little overweight" at 6.3kg but it's all fur and bone,
_Lynz_
As the vet tactfully puts it, he's "a little overweight" at 6.3kg but it's all fur and bone, Had a similar experience this week, took my Guinea Pig to the vet, she seemed quite shocked when she told me he weighed almost a kilo. What's wrong with cuddley???

Well the only thing we have to 'fear' down this way, is the alledged tsunami that would result from part of the Canary Islands collapsing into the sea. If it ever happens that is
heartworm
As the vet tactfully puts it, he's "a little overweight" at 6.3kg but it's all fur and bone, hmm, mine comes in just under 8Kg, and the vet says he's only a little overweight, just huge, I always wonder why people look surprised when they see him. and1c
I was awake and working on my pc. There was a massive deep groaning from the bowels of the earth and then my house wall started literally shaking (brick wall) Some free standing shelves fell over in the same room....and 20 seconds or less later it was all over. Not good
