jamesmark
I am going to be going double decat on my UK spec very soon, car has a new set of hybrids on it and want something to control the fueling. I may upgrade the injectors to 650cc somewhere down the line. My aim is just to have a well set up hybrid car. Emanage keeps coming up as the best route. I have no desire to go single unless I win the Lottery. Whats the best one to go for? is Emanage ultimate pointless for just hybrids or does this offer the best scope for mapping? Or will Emanage blue be enough? Also does it matter what Emanage I get as in regards to being Auto, I don't want to buy one (second hand) and find it is for manual. Tricky-Ricky
The ultimate offers the best range of control, as you can add and remove fuel via the injector map, so it won't affect timing, the blue only allows you to add fuel via injector map, if you need to remove fuel then you have to use the airflow map, so it will have an impact on ign timing, as adjustment affects what signal the ECU sees. jamesmark
Cheers mate, anymore advice on this? Worth while etc friendly to auto's. Friendly to UK specs
Nic
The Emanage Ultimate is not much more expensive, but allows a lot more features, worth the extra IMO. The stock ECU controls the auto box, so no problems there, not sure about compatibility with the UK spec, Ian C would be best guy to speak to. This is the list of parts you will need GREDDY E-Manage Ultimate GREDDY E-Manage Ultimate Harness Kit GREDDY E-Manage Pressure Sensor GREDDY E-Manage Pressure Sensor Harness GREDDY E-Manage Ultimate Injector Adapter
michael
What about the MAP2? http://www.mapecu.com/map2.html You could ditch the MAF at the same time

Tricky-Ricky
From what i have read about it, the MAP2 is about on par with the EMU, but i do believe there are issues with using the ignition timing feature on the ultimate with the UK ign system, so the MAP2 may be a better bet. tDR
MAP ECU2 would be perfect IMO - check out the link above. You can buy em direct, from Dusty at MVP or from PHR. There are also PnP fields types harnesses for them which make install nice and easy. Bondango on here has fitted a couple to UK specs over on the emerald isle without any issues - might be worth a PM? Cheers, Brian.
xxcat
...but i do believe there are issues with using the ignition timing feature on the ultimate with the UK ign system... Which issues you are talking about? I have EU/USA spec and EMU with no issues at all.
Tricky-Ricky
Which issues you are talking about? I have EU/USA spec and EMU with no issues at all. Just going by what i have read in the past regarding this, people have said that due to the differences in the UK/US ignition the EMU is not compatible, heard the same about the VVTI as well, Did you have to use any tweaks or interface in order for it to work on your Supra? I'm sure a few people would be pleased to hear how it can be done:)
