johnd-mkiv
I have a problem with my gearbox hitting the tunnel in my supra, the car used to be an auto, just wondering if it has an auto gear box cross member and mounts, rather than using a 6 speed one? would there be any differences? would an auto mount fit the 6 speed box? Homer
If you mean the large one that supports the rear end of the gearbox, the mounts are different
Jezz
Sounds like they kept the auto trans tunnel top insted of patching in a manual one. The manual trans tunnel sits an inch higher.

How do you mean by patching in a manual one? this is a pic of what I have from under the car looking up inbetween the two welded keep nuts you can see two white spots this is where the gear lever lincage is banging on the floor
Jezz
Thats your problem mate. Thats an auto trans tunnel top. It needs cutting out, and the manual one welding in. £30 odd from Toyota, easy enough to do if you know a welder.

The measurements have to be quite precise for the abs sensor mount and handbrake bolt threads.

Jezz
58261a is the auto panel I think. £100 is way off for the manual panel. We get ours from Simms Toyota for half that! I can chop you one out for £30 if you want?
