grahamc
is that what was on the black car? or something lying around?
Gazboy
The black car had HKS Hypermaxes. Not sure where the D2's came from, considering the money being thrown at this car I wouldn't be surprised if they were bought just to move the car around. Gazboy
standard brakes? Apparently the Norse DoT do not recognise big brake kits as legal.
Dr S
Apparently the Norse DoT do not recognise big brake kits as legal. Nope, pretty strict there:blink:, but the owner is going to try out stock brakes with yellowstuff brakepads, since the car has been on a rock hard diet:cool:

paul mac
http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=142872 i know the UK has its moments but it kind of makes you glad that we could fit a Rolls Royce Merlin into the supe, take it for an MOT and everythings legal , i think those discs with UK calipers and CW pads, Hawk or Porterfield would be the dogs, i would forget the yellow stuff i had some red stuff with my current brake upgrade and allthough the initial bite was pretty good, from high speed they were rubbish, i now run Porterfield which are jolly good

bolarbag
This is finished now, just awaiting the front bumper, 1280kg with 30litres of fuel not bad at all!!
Thorin
1280kg with 30litres of fuel not bad at all!! Not worth the expense though IMO. But fair play if you've more money than sense
iain2010
I agree. It looks smart but i honestly thought it would be lighter than that.
johnny g
Saved about 230-250 kilos? A lot of money ... for that.
bolarbag
Saved about 230-250 kilos? A lot of money ... for that. I agree, but remember they have added a rollcage, so as well as the car being lighter it is stronger, think porsche gt3, they way around 1350kg, so the weight is pretty impressive, I was slightly disappointed in the weight too, I thought we would be looking at 1150, that turbo is mighty big though

Bobbeh
What a bunch of miserable sods. I think its a great project and will no doubt 'haul ass'. Surely less weight would help get the car moving quicker giving the engine less work to do.. so lag wouldnt be as much of a problem.

SupraHuman
Lot of monet spent, but not my cup of tea.I would have kept it stock and spent the money on a Ultima GTR.Each to their own tho.
Guest CoolsBlue
Its a great project, ruined it with that glossy ridox front, and stupid ladder on the boot, stock wing would of been much nicer, i dont get it, some people do such great projects, then ruin them right at the end
Scott
Agree with the front bumper, when going to that expense i don't think it would have taken much to get a carbon one. I'm hoping that the wing is more of a necessity than anything else.
