Gaz6002
As above really. How many fuel pumps do you run with your setup and why? Also, which brand/model are you using? I'm having issues with my twin Walboro setup and am considering reverting to a single one again or maybe a different make (Bosch 044?) for simplicities sake. What are peoples thoughts? Gaz6002
My thoughts are use the search button that I use one Walbro -Ian I have Ian - but you know how hard it is to find answers to specific questions from current setups
Ian C
I'm sure I crossed that bit out, I don't know why you're bringing it up Anyway, one Walbro can run a good amount of power for the street. T67 with cams, 1.4bar of boost, 720cc injectors, works fine. -Ian

kylestt
Twin Walbros here. A single pump can't support the horsepower I'm trying to achieve.
rob wild
This is a summary of my fuel set up: -8an lines Fuel cell modification 2 x Walbro fuel pump Aeromotive FPR Aeromotive -10 high pressure filter Relays Boost Logic fuel rail 880cc injectors Custom Injector clips Fuel rail connectors / fittings -8an pertek fuel lines 19 meters I'm sure Ryan could comment over the efficiency of the setup i.e. injector duty cycles etc etc
Gaz6002
Whats wrong with yours Gaz? It appears to be wired in incorrectly as the pumps are fighting against each other causing the fuelling to be pretty much uncontrollable. I do have a temp fix for it but am looking at a long term solution to the problem.
Wez
Do you have the pumps feeding each end of the rail separately?

If you try and tie 2 pumps into the stock wiring of the stock fuel pump it wont know what to do hehe. The Walbros are designed for 12volts of flow if i remember right. Gaz6002
Do you have the pumps feeding each end of the rail separately? The pumps themselves are doing the job fine when the diagnostic port is bridged, but I don't like this solution. Thats why I'm trying to find a better way to arrange things. Development is fun. It's a PHR fuel kit and all parts were used. The pumps should be getting 12v, not 9v. How did Thor Map it like that then? By putting a temp fix on by bridging the diagnostic port. Thats what I mean, I've got a temp fix but am looking for a better solution.

I thought they would have fixed that !! I remember it having to be like that when it went to Thor but all it would take is for them to put a Circuit Opening relay that is linked to the STA signal so when the engine is running it activates the relay and turns on the Pumps. You could then just wire a direct feed from the battery. Ask James @ ToyotaGT for a Circuit Opening relay and i will sort it out for you one night as that is not Safe matey. Ryan It's cool mate, the car is off the road right now anyway until it's properly sorted. We had some other major wiring issues before we got to this point so Thor were mainly looking at those. We have only just realised that this was causing the under-lying fuelling problem and so they can't really be blamed for that. I'll be in touch for some mapping when it's sorted though
ajazyasin
wiring pumps is so easy(now mine is done!). Im running 2 walbros. each one has a separate line that goes to each end of a dual feed rail. The pumps are fed by a 12v source through a relay that runs off the original ecu dual volatage setup. Works a treat.
