Restaurant F Word Bill

Ha. Personally, I'd probably laugh it off it my bill had some expletives on it.

Diner Clare Watkin said she thought it was written after they complained about poor service.......She added: "I'd like a written apology from the restaurant and I'd also like some compensation.

I mean - WTF is that about?!?!?!?

"I'm really downright offended and just want to humiliate the restaurant by making them write out a formal apology. Oh - and I want some $$$$$$."

Asking for money is ridiculous! In fact - why do people even ask for apologies in this sort of situation? Does she really expect the person in question to actually be sorry? No - she just wants them to feel humiliated and inferior.

Sorry for losing their job; maybe.

Sorry for losing future income for the restaurant; maybe.

Sorry for writing a few expletives into a receipt? Forget it. Get a life!

I hope she goes back for her "free meal" and they sh*t in it.

To be honest - they probably got their just desserts as soon as they complained about the service..... I've seen what happens in some restaurants!

I would never risk complaining about bad service or food (especially food - chefs can take it a bit too personally!) until after I'd finished my meal! Even then, I'd probably just vote with my feet and not come back to the same restaurant rather than making a pompous scene about it.

Its normal practice to vent your frustrations in writing when you can't actually say what you want to when dealing with annoying people.

I've *heard* that *certain* police officers write what they actually wanted to say to people in their statements and then print them off and show them to colleagues for a laugh, then they are corrected and reprinted for the court file........ however it has been known for the funny stuff to be left in by mistake, which can result in a few red faces when infront of the judge :D

completely disagree... If I am paying £280 for a meal out with family or friends and I get a receipt with that language on it, I will tear F***ing place down!

That is disgusting behaviour from any restuarant and its staff...

I would damn well want compensation as well and I sure as hell would NOT eat there again.

Care to throw up a figure?

How about 10 grand??;)

I don't think that compensation is really required. But to pay for a service and then have that on your receipt is incredibly disrespectful. If you want people to dine there regularly then you are not going to write things like that!

Why not go the whole hog and instead of a "welcome" mat behind the door, have one that says "F*ck Off"...??
