Jake
does the cig lighter work? Well it has 12v power, I tested the plug with a voltmeter just now. If so id get the heater control out and do a Volt check on the plug. How do I do that? Which pins am I supposed to see a voltage across? I've undone the heater control from the dash so that I can plug it in without having to struggle with with removing the dash panel each time I look at something. spidermonkey
Nope I'm struggling with it again right now. I have power to : Headlights, Wipers, Cig Lighter, rev counter, boost gauge (stock one), fuel gauge, elec door mirrors, horn, I DON'T have power to : Heater controls, speedo/rev counter panel lights, Highbeam warning lights. The indicators don't work from the indicator stalk or the Hazard Lights button but they do flash when the alarm is armed/disarmed (the green indicator light on the dash do the same) I'm stumped ! If you can power the flashers from the alarm but not either of the function switches i would think it may be a dodgy relay, maybe something has been disturbed, i would make sure all relays are pushed up snug and then i would try the connections behind the dash (you say the fuses are ok)
Pig
Do your hazards work? Myself and JamieP have had the same problem in the past. For us it was the plug that plugs into the hazard warning lights. There is actually 2 plugs up there and they are different sizes. One fits in bit isnt the right one. IIRC it might hae been blowing a fuse in the footwell too.
Jake
Do your hazards work? No. No indicators or hazards. Indicators and warning lights do flash with the alarm though.

Jake
I have a cunning plan to test the heater controls. I'm going to plug it into the dash on my other Supra. Once I've charged the battery (The other Supra has no dash panels before anyone suggests swapping part the other way)

Jake
I have a cunning plan to test the heater controls. I'm going to plug it into the dash on my other Supra. Well, the heater controls work fine in my other Supra, so it's not that. Looking at the three plugs into the back of the instrument cluster ; the white one goes behind the speedo? brown one in the middle behind the rev counter? and the blue one goes on the right hand side behind the fuel gauge.? Correct? And the middle socket, the one the brown plug goes into has no contacts/PCB-tracks to connect with the pins on the brown plug, is that right? Jake
:nana: Found it! I'd missed one of the dash loom plugs up inside the dash to the right hand side the steering column. All working fine now. Thanks

Guest jimmy4lfc
Thanks JOHNNYW as i had the exact same problem with the clock, heater and cig lighter. Change the 7.5amp fuse on the cig slot and it should work. just sorted mine out after months of scratching my head!
