JustGav
Something to consider - you might find that wheelie bins are made from suitably thick, malleable plastic. Quite useful for forming bodywork panels... hahaha, I think the neighbours may notice 15 wheelie bins going missing

JustGav
Only just seen this, nice work Gav:cool: Should be interesting when it is done, fancy a go Haven't updated much lately as to be honest, the time has been spent cleaning the welds and tidying up the frame in general, and the pics don't look any different as it is all detail stuff. Although a few more ladder pieces have gone in for strengthening, tomorrow we are attaching the back subframe so it will be a rolling chassis ready for the initial gear linkage configuration and wiring tunnel. The cockpit floor has also been mocked up. We attempted a quick test on seating position but the board holding the chassis bent in the middle when I sat on it. So we need to do seat position on the floor and only want to put it on the floor once we have got the chassis fully welded as we can't check for straightness as easily on the floor. Kranz
As far as instruments go there is a pod type all in one guage that is quite good. Has digital speedo, trip, tacho, fuel guage, engine temp etc all built into the one unit & is SVA compliant..... I just can't remember the name. Its under £100 too There's some kit car parts specialist that sells it, a family run company. Saw it in a kit car mag (Cobra mag) a few weeks back. Edit: Found it on the manufacturer's website http://www.acewell-meter.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=47_105&products_id=1785&osCsid=tqh4lgc2n582i3hvu33lg10jn6/ Or one with warning lights for more money: http://www.acewell-meter.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=47_103&products_id=1784&osCsid=tqh4lgc2n582i3hvu33lg10jn6/

JustGav
It is still going, just at a slightly slower pace due to the track NA taking a bit more time...(And being fair the weather is nice so neither of us want to be in the garage working).. There has however been a fair bit of progress with the initial front suspension being built..

JustGav
I do have to add, I'm not a mechanic/fabricator by trade and I do all this for fun So I don't have much time during the week for the various projects (tadpole, trackna), and then the kids grab my weekends...so it is all a juggling act for this IT monkey swinging a spanner
