eeeekkkk defo sound like the bottom end is farked, sounds like my impreza when I shot the bottom end and just like my mates Z3m when he bent a rod... ooo eerr!!

Dropping from in to 1st at 60mph could do some damage, jsut depends how long it took her to notice etc

It might not have been the revs at all, when was the last time it was serviced?

It was serviced less than 3 months ago - and even longer for the g/f lol:D

I think it's normally caused by oil starvation, but changing to 1st at 60mph would mean some massive rpm and hence the chance of bending a rod (or other terminal failure)

Yep what I was thinking hence the "depends how quickly she noticed" LOL if she caught it before it went mental then it should hve been ok, but if she rammed it in 1st and then let the clutch out in fury that will be the reason for sure!!

Oil Starvation is often the cause of these sorts of things, however shite fueling can cause this as well.

There's no way of knowing what it is untill the error codes have been looked at. Don't just drop another lump in it or the same could happen :(

Would dropping into the wrong gear wreck the bottom end? Ie going into 1st instead of 3rd at 60mph?

Scott =op

YES!!

Sadly, it sounds like your engine is fubarred :(

The only plus point is that 2JZ GE engines are cheap as chips :)

I know this might not be much consolation but its better than nothing!

£100-£250 ...and

a few good forum guys...and your back on the road
