Heater control wiring problem

Homer

Recommended Posts

The wires that go to the heater control unit (3 orange plugs) had been chopped off the loom, today I was adding the plugs back in from a spare loom, but encountered a problem with the centre one.

It has two wires on both the loom and two on the plug which are exactly the same, I'm not sure which wire should connect to which. They are both pink with a black stripe.

I'm not sure if anyone here has any experience with these wires as it's not a very common thing to have to mess with..

Any ideas folks?

One wire connects the 'A/C amplifier' to the 'Rear window de-fogger' button on the 'Heater control switch'.

The other connects the A/C amplifier to the 'A/C ambient temperature sensor'

I can send you a copy of the wiring diagram if you PM me your email, or tell me how to post it on the forum.

Superb mate! You can post jpegs on the forum, but not sure what format the file is in. If you could email it to [email protected] I'll try and make it available here.

Thanks again - I wasn't expecting anyone to be able to help on this one!

Its a large pdf (5.4M) and I got an error message while it was being sent. Seemed to finnish ok.

Let me know if you didn't get it, or its corrupt, and I'll try again
