Terminator
Tonight was my first night out in the car in appalling weather conditions since fitting my HID. The beam penetration though the spray and gloom was amazing. I have never had such fantastic visibility before in any car, in weather like this. There seems too little difference in the distance illuminated tonight compared with a dry night. A truly fantastic safety improvement. Matt_J
I assume that these HID's are completely UK road legal.

SKI
Just wondered, is there additional heating around the bulb as a result of the increased light intensity, this may not be the case at all but I was concerned that this might cause the plastic housing, chrome effect finish to tarnish faster and need repair? JamesG
Wouldn't have thought so, HIDs are a lower wattage than normal bulbs (about 35w I think).
