SimonR Posted January 25, 2005 Share Posted January 25, 2005 The 1JZ Soarer has two turbos but they are parallel rather than sequential. It’s also a 2.5 rather than a 3.0. Stock power is 280. The turbos are ceramic for fast spool, don’t know about the Supra’s turbos. The Soarer is also about 300lbs heavier than the Supra, I believe. uksupra Posted January 26, 2005 Share Posted January 26, 2005 soarer is also a whole lot longer than supra... my girlfriends uncle has a soarer he had taken his exhaust off (big bore jap style back box) i lineed it up under my car.... all the bends are in the right place but the whole back box stuck out from the back bumper..!!!! trooper Posted January 27, 2005 Share Posted January 27, 2005 They are very similar but aimed at different markets. I used to have a Soarer 4.0 LTD with all the toys. My brother has it now. There are many aspects of the cars that are the same but far more diverse than the Rover/MG offerings which are just badges stuck on.
