Pete
You seem to be getting all sentimental about Supras recently Chris?
Chris Wilson
Moi? Sentimental about cars? No chance It's just someone has asked me if track days kill them, so if it was still around and running OK, after the pasting I gave back then, it would have been good testament to their durability. Cars like tracks Mine get better MPG after a track run, which honestly surprised me as it was only ever driven for fun so I never sat in jams or whatever... I kind of agree. One of the reasons I sold mine is that I don't think it She liked the drive to work during rush hour.

I kinda agree here, I wouldn't have said track racing specifically but a good run, for example a drive to the Ring or Le Mans, that gave me great mpg, you need to stretch the legs of the car and make the engine breath a bit
keancy
I don't really intend to take mine to a track because I would probably write it off but I don't think Supras like slow, mine seems to be much happier when at speed and pushed then the old 30-40 mile an hour down the road trundle. Ryan.G
Think that Supra above needed some bonnet pins
Chris Wilson
It always had a sticky OS bonnet catch, and it always popped open through Foulstons at Oulton, if it didn't I knew I was driving like a tart It was always on the "to do" list though. ShamelessTT
How did you get on tracking an AUTO Chris, im on the list to go to the ring this year and im just wondering how my AUTO will cut it. Si
Chris Wilson
No problems, it was fine. Could have done with a gearbox oil cooler and an engine oil cooler, it had neither, but nothing actually ever blew up. For a big heavy lump it went well I recall it was very good in the wet, but I ran it on 16 inch rims, and the sidewall compliance gave it the edge over low profiled shod cars of similar bulk. I had an R33GTR after that, and they did similar times, in similar states of standard(ish) tune. Then I risked an RX-7 and that was 2 seconds a lap quicker than either, in stock trim, before it did the inevitable and blew a turbo and took the tip seals with it. Just as a comparison. bignum
Hi chris, what sort of lap times did you get in the supe, oh and red really is the best colour, when you getting another,
Chris Wilson
I honestly can't remember, it's a LONG time ago, nothing to write home about, and it's not something I do, just A N Other sometimes quoted times, timing on track days is against the rules
