So it doesn't happen whenever new mods are given their powers? ;)

Maybe it does with some people. For me personally, I've edited a bunch of swear words, moved some threads to more appropriate sections and generally tried to see the forum as a mod sees it rather than as an ordinary member. Believe me, it's actually pretty hard to switch.

I feel I've been very restrained (in public;)) but I've still got my fair share of hissyfit-age directed at me. For the time being though, I'm learning the ropes.

I really don't envy the mods with the no-win situation they're constantly put in. It's a hard balance to strike and can't be expected to happen straight away. That was my point, not to patronise. :)

IMo The mods are the coppers of the forum, Even if sometimes we disagree with the choices they make they normally know best and have a good reason for it. Its not up to any of us to question it.We are proberbly making the mods jobs hard with the questions/bitching so they are going to get less tolerent. Paul, No kiss a$$ smileys please mate ;):p

true Blackie, but who Police's the Police:taped::search:

It seems that you have appointed yourself to that role :innocent: :D

Seriously Tom, give the mods a break. I haven't read the threads yet but it's sometimes very tricky to know how to react to certain posts, complaints about the thread and complaints about the action taken. Sometimes we make the right decision, sometimes not, but we're always learning the best way to handle these situations. For the new mods it's especially difficult so just cut them a little slack please.

Darryl,

understood, but at the cost of a good member I think is not right.

Or perhaps who cares if we lose any members. I for one don't think we should lose members because a thread is not about a Supra and others post 100's of off topic stuff that is left.

I'm sorry mate but it is not a case of leave off the new MOD's, If I am wrong I apologise and accept my punishment. I will not raise this in the open. I have made mt thoughts clear, but if a MOD decides to say some thing to me, I have the right to defend my self and explain my posting or has Free Speech been out lawed?

Just a question;)

I personally think you're overeacting to a pretty minor moderating decision (one of around 40 others done today, 38 of which no one reacted too). Just accept it and leave it be

If you're not happy with a decision, then as a club official, perhaps it's best to use the moderation forum or private messages to discuss rather than post your disatisfaction publically.

and on that note, the public discussion is closed here.
