Matt Harwood
It's only a problem if you get them reversed on the same wheels. If you've had them swapped to the other side of the car, they'll still be rotating in the right direction - No problem:)
AJI
I wouldn't go out in the wet with them the wrong way round. Any standing water and you are likely to aquaplane right off the road!
MONKEYmark
i have just had my 2 front 17`s done and they were the same a mate is a manager of kwik fit mobile division.he did me 2 falken 451 235x40x17 at 82+vat each and he told me they were on wrong way rounf and thats what could be causing it to wear on insides they were real bad too white thread was showing through glad they are all legal now he also tried to take the tyres off my 19" wheels and could not do it. i have been round a few garages and none of them can do 19" wheels.i had to drive from leeds to bradford to ATS to do them its the tyre center that motion styling use where i bought my wheels.they can handle up to 20" wheels.they struggled to get tyres off too with sidewall been a 30 profile. he said its a pain in ass getting them off but easy to put them on.also it cost 6 quid +vat just to take off rim each and mended a puncture at 7quid +vat so its going to work out expensive just to get all tyres off and back on when the curbing is sorted and resprayed. has anyone else had trouble getting them off.i only can get 2 wheels at a time in supra too. the kwik fit mobile bloke says he sometimes goes to elvington airfeild to do work up there on porsches and tvr`s when they race up there. since i have had my new tyres on right way round it feels a lot better.i was sometimes tramlining before but after seeing tyres that came off front.the steering feels a lot better will have to try them out in wet. i like the falkens they are a budget tyre and seem good grip to me.anyone rate them for the money.i know they are not bridgestone quality but seem fine to me what psi do i run on them is it 33psi
Steve W
I'm sure Matt's right, as long as 'Directional' tyres are ROLLING the right way - your OK In fact it's supposed to be good practice to swap them for the very reason you just said. The only tyres you CAN'T swap side-to-side are the 'SIDED' type (like the Goodyears ? and possibly more expensive Yoko's etc) where the tread pattern is NOT symetrical, it's designed for one side of the tyre to always be on the inside = tyre cannot be swapped around at all.[ well.. at least not on the Soop - where we have diff' sizes back/front - you could swap back-to-front if they were same size]
